New Loves: Alder & Co.

After a spending the summer "somewhat" disconnected from the internet, I am back and itching to fill up this blog space again. :) In my inter-excursions, I stumbled across this super cute shop, Alder & Co. I love the mixture of neutrals and bold colors!

I hope you guys are having a great fall. There was frost on the ground today in Bend and I'm hearing talk of snow tomorrow. I can't wait and neither can Cloey-dog!

Time Is Flyin'...

Hey all!

My goodness, I can't believe how fast this year is going! It seems like it was only 2 months ago that I packed up and moved to Bend! It's been a busy, sunny summer so far. Lots of bike rides, hikes with Cloey-dog and fun with friends.

Yesterday, however, felt a little bit like fall (which just so happens to be my favorite season!) and I got excited for cozy socks, tea, cyclocross, and spending time in my work space! It inspired me to organize my sewing space since I never really got around to doing it when I moved in.

Looking at all the fabric I've collected and thrifted over the past year, I got really excited! I can't wait to start cranking out new product for the shop. :)

I hope you all are having a great summer! I'm headed off to the lake to see if I can get Miss Cloey Underfoot to swim. Wish us luck! ;)

Playtime in Central Oregon

So I have lately been captured away from my computer by the sunshine of Central Oregon. This last week, I was fortunate enough to ride up the Old McKenzie Pass (hwy 242) TWICE! It's a fun highway to ride this time of year because it's not open to cars due to snow at the very top.

It's a pretty good climb (in my opinion) to the summit, with a BEAUTIFUL 360 degree view of mountains! Pretty spectacular. After all the work riding up, you're rewarded with a fun descent that winds you back down to Sisters! I can't wait to do it again. :)

Next up, I'm stoked to float the river! I suspect it's still pretty cold from snow melt, but there's really nothing better after a long hot day than a dip in the river. :)

Memorial Day Camping

Well, I just got back from some fun in the hills! I went camping up at Scout Lake for my birthday and although it was super cold (pssst, summer... ahem, ahem.) it didn't rain or snow on us all weekend! A miracle! We stayed warm with big fires and nips of whiskey... oh yes, and forest bowling thanks to a lovely plastic bowling set we picked up. :)

This is why you take your camera with you at 4:30 in the morning.

Wood stacks at the campsite.

Safety first! This way they can't lose me in the woods. ;)

Sara decorated me with battery powered twinkle lights! Yay!

Beautifully eerie burn on the backside of camp.

Pups and pinwheels.

A bunch of my favorite dirtbags deciding on where to ride.

So there you have it! My birthday weekend... it was one of my favorites! Thanks you guys for making it so fun. :)

Yikes! I'm 30!

Well that happened fast! One minute I'm 29, then BAM. 30. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about my thirties. In fact, I plan on celebrating all year! I'm thinking that on the 30th of every month, I'm going to go on an adventure, throw a shindig, or try something new. A few things on my list are:

- See Crater Lake
- Try martial arts
- Bake a cake
- Roadtrip!
- Go caving
- Camp in the Redwoods
- Explore the Steens Mtns.
- Go fishing
- Climb the South Sister

It should be a fun year! I still feel like I'm 7, so I'm not too worried about being old quite yet. ;)

Uh oh, here it comes! DANG, it got me... Thirty it is.

Trailer Trash

Hiya!
Well, the sun is out again. Probably means snow tomorrow, but I'll take it! Cloey-dog and I just got back from our morning walk and I saw an old teardrop trailer parked a few blocks away and started getting trailer fever. ;) As you might know, I'm sort of obsessed with old travel trailers. I even have one tattooed on my foot!

I love hearing about people revamping them into cute little traveling shops. Who knows, maybe one day Urban Farm Designs will be rolling around in an awesome old trailer. One can only dream... But for now, here is some trailer wonderfulness for you to gaze upon. :)

Who has a fun summer trip coming up? I want to hear about it! I'll live vicariously through you guys. :)
