Lost Things

Hi guys!
Wow, I'm back so soon! But I stumbled across this video today on Twitter and have to say I'm quite taken with it! The imagery and styling are so beautiful I had to share it with you!

Enjoy!

Spring Fever.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you guys are all having a really great weekend! It's been pretty sunny the past two days and, boy, I could get used to it! I got SO INSPIRED that I made my first Polyvore collage including all of the cute dresses I can't wait to wear! (Well, a girl can dream...)

I also ran across this the other day and decided I really need this poster in my sewing room. So cute!

I'm really loving Larime Loom on Etsy right now! Her dresses are so cute and imaginative!

Well I just got my first bulk order for a bunch of eyeglass cases! I'm really excited about it and am gonna try to get them all finished today. So I'd better get back to work! :)

See you guys Tuesday for more turquoise love!

Turquoise Tuesday!

So. I am obviously not the only one that loves turquoise here, and in the spirit of sharing this color obsession with you lovely fellow turquoise-lovers I've decided that Tuesdays will now be... (drum roll)... Turquoise Tuesday! Oh what joy is ours! Without further ado, let the colorful imagery ensue!

Doors...

... fenders...

... walls...

... hair...

... vases...

... nails...

... shoes, lanterns & birdcages...

Well I'm off to go paint the trim for my new peg board. Any guesses as to what color?? :D Youuuu know it! Turquoise! I'm pretty excited to see how it all comes together. I'll be sure to post pics of it when I get it up! Here's hoping you all are having a fabulous Tuesday!

Tea love.

Oh man. I love that my new teacup matches my glasses! (Have I mentioned my obsession with all things turquiose yet?) Someday I'll compile a "turquoise collage" of all the lovely turquoise things in my house. Sigh. I love teacups...

Back to hemming my new dress! Later taters,

Vintage yard sale!

So there I was, minding my own business on my way to get coffee when BAM! A glorious sign that read, "Oak St. Vintage Yard Sale TODAY!" Some screeching tires later, I was the proud owner of this lovely vintage dress and tea cup & saucer set for under 10 bucks! Yay! I'm soooooo excited! :)

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday as well!

A year of inspiration...

Over the last year I've collected a TON of inspiring images on my Tumblr! I've decided to post the best of the best here, as a sort of inspiration collage. I hope you enjoy!

Eisley on Flickr

London-born, Berlin-based artist Simon Evans has the raddest exhibition right now at James Cohen Gallery in New York. The show’s title is “Island Time,” which is a nod to Robinson Crusoe and the handmade objects he needed to survive on a desert island. Evans implicitly compares being shipwrecked, to the role of the artist as an outsider, to his own experience living in a foreign city. He’s also obsessed with counting and charting, “an activity key to survival as a castaway,” says the gallery. Don’t you love his work?

I STILL want this book of Marc Johns' drawings! He's so witty and talented...

I want to live here....

...with this bird & typewriter...

Beautiful paper.

I cannot get over how envious I am of this clothesline of pretty dresses...

This make me want to get my feet wet.

Well I think that's a good dose of inspiring things for today. More to come next week! Here is proof that my bangs grow like wildfire! I JUST cut them super short and now they're back down to my eyebrows! (Which some people might think is a good thing.) :)

Eek! I'm stoked.

I'm excited about three things today. One is terribly nerdy and we will just get it out of the way... I struck a deal with my very first materials supplier today! I feel so legit and all grown up. ;) So now I've got buckles covered... just a few more things to go... like EVERYTHING! But a girl's gotta start somewhere.

Secondly, I finished what is possibly my favorite messenger bag I've made so far for my BFF's bday tonight! Yayyy! Her boyfriend bought it for her (so nice of him!) and is going to suprise her with it at dinner tonight. I can't wait to see her face. :)

Thirdly, but possibly the MOST exciting, is that I got access to the Indie Business 2.0 blog today! It's an online workshop I'm taking next month and I'm suuuuuper stoked about it. I'll make a business woman out of this girl yet! :) The really fun thing about this workshop is that one of the instructors, Elsie Flannigan, writes my favorite blog ever.

I really admire her creative spark and unique style, so I'm excited to get the opportunity to pick her brain! Swoon!

Alright kids, I have to go get ready and pick out an outfit to wear to the BFF's bday dinner at one of my favorite local spots, The Vintage. Yay!

So much fun in one day! I hope you all are having a wonderful day as well!

Later Gators!

Sunshine On My Shoulders

Howdy peeps!
This marks the first of my posts where I display how much I'm longing for spring & summer. Which, at the moment, is a LOT.

The Drums - Let's Go Surfing
I love this song.

I have this poster in my loft. It always inspires me with the "road trip feeling"...

...and while on the road trip to the beach, listening to The Drums, I'll be wearing this super cute dress from Mod Cloth...

I'm really horrible about staying hydrated, but these customized Sigg bottles might help me remember!

More cute spring finds...

Down Time

So today I've been a little under the weather. I slept all day so naturally now that it's time for bed, I'm wide awake! Gah!

Being the lemons into lemonade girl that I am, I put that energy into some late-night craftiness and...VOILA! A little flower cuff!

I hope you guys have a great night!

Music Loves

Still flitting around, getting things accomplished today... but I've been addicted to these two songs today and thought I'd share. They both are mellow but have a build-up that inspires me to be epic today. ;) Enjoy!

Asobi Seksu - Thursday

Nada Surf - Fruit Flies
The fact that these guys can write an awesome song all about fruit flies is just rad. Ok, I'm slightly obsessed with this song. Specifically singing it at the top of my lungs while driving.

Continue on with your Friday! I hope you enjoy these songs!

Cheers,

Early Bird

Hello everyone!

I woke up this morning at 6 am in a fit of inspiration! So I bounced out of bed, grabbed my trusty notebook, made some tea and got busy scribbling down new ideas. I love mornings like this! I'm excited to get a lot done today, but before I jet off, i'll leave you these lovelies...

Anthropologie

I also saw this tutorial last night on how to make this Oh Dear, Dear Head. SO cute!

I hope you all have a great Friday!

Urban Farm Designs gets a blog!

Hello everyone!

I'm so excited to launch the new Urban Farm Design blog!

I've been busy sewing new tote bags, messenger bags and aprons this week. The photo shoot is Friday and they should be up on www.urbanfarmdesigns.etsy.com by Monday! Yay!

I'm also in the process of revamping my little studio to be more user friendly and efficient. I'm so excited to see how it all turns out! I'm stoked to have a whole room just for sewing and crafting away! (Thanks Ryan!)

I hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday! I'll leave you with some Urban Farm Designs goodness...

Ciao!
